Your Privacy
Your privacy is of the utmost importance, and I am committed to safeguarding your confidentiality throughout our work together. To ensure that your information remains secure, I use SimplePractice, a HIPAA-compliant platform, for all therapy-related communications and documentation.
Additionally, I utilize a HIPAA-compliant phone number and email address through Google Workspace to ensure the confidentiality of all communications.
For more details on how your information is protected, please review Coronado Counseling’s HIPAA Notice, which outlines the measures I take to maintain your privacy and confidentiality in all aspects of our work together.
No Surprises Act
The No Surprises Act is designed to protect individuals from receiving unexpected medical bills. This law ensures that you will not be billed more than the amount provided in your Good Faith Estimate, and it establishes a process for resolving payment disputes between providers and insurance plans.
If you are uninsured or self-pay, and your final bill is at least $400 higher than the Good Faith Estimate provided to you, you have the right to dispute the charges. To do so, you must file your dispute within 120 days of the date on the bill.
Before we begin treatment, I will provide you with a Good Faith Estimate of your therapy costs to ensure there are no surprises regarding your fees.
